At NSW Drone Search, we provide specialist thermal imaging drone search services designed to help locate missing people, lost dogs, pets and wildlife across Sydney, New South Wales and suitable locations throughout eastern Australia.

Our service combines experienced drone operations with the experience and know-how combined with advanced thermal and visual imaging technology to search large, difficult or inaccessible areas quickly and systematically. Depending on the search requirements, we can provide high-resolution thermal imaging, colour photography and video, optical zoom, GPS-positioned observations, laser rangefinding and high-intensity spotlights to investigate and confirm potential sightings.
We can assist with searches in bushland, rural properties, farmland, parks, reserves, creek corridors, escarpments and remote terrain, with each mission planned around weather, vegetation, temperature, airspace and access conditions.

How Long Does it take
for Mobilisation
With thermal drone searches, timing can be critical.
The most suitable time to conduct a search depends on the type of target, the surrounding environment and prevailing weather conditions.
Some searches are best undertaken during the night, before sunrise or in the early morning, when cooler ground temperatures can provide stronger thermal contrast between a person or animal and the surrounding terrain. Other searches may be better suited to daylight hours, particularly when visual identification, terrain assessment or follow-up photography is required.

Weather conditions can also have a significant impact on thermal imaging performance. Rain, strong winds, high ambient temperatures and rapidly changing conditions may affect when a search can safely and effectively be undertaken.

In most cases, NSW Drone Search can mobilise to a search area within approximately 12 hours. This allows our team time to assess the available information, review the search area, check airspace and weather conditions, prepare the required equipment, plan the flight operations and travel to site where the location is outside Sydney.

Generally speaking, if we receive your information durning the day we can often be onsite from 4am the following morning.
